About me

I am Stefania Giuffrida, a passionate Consultant Radiologist with work experience in Italy and the UK, registered with the Italian Medical Board and with the General Medical Council (GMC-UK Medical Board).

I graduated in Medicine with honors in July 2005 and I worked as a Registrar in Italy obtaining my CCT in Radiology (Certificate of Completion of Training) in 2009.

Fascinated by the use of technology to perform mini-invasive treatments, during my training in Radiology I was attracted to Interventional Radiology and I focused my passion on this sub-specialty.

To increase my expertise I performed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Guy’s and St.Thomas’ Hospitals in London.

After many years of work in the UK, I established myself in Italy again in 2021 and I have been appointed as a Consultant at Sant’Eugenio Hospital in Rome where I perform diagnostic imaging (US, CT) and Interventional Radiology (mini-invasive surgery) (LINK)

In March 2022 I have been awarded the European Board of Interventional Radiology, organised under supervision of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) link to cirse.org, with the endorsement of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) link to ESR. The EBIR examination is also accredited by the European Union of Medical Specialists Council for European Specialists Medical Assessment (UEMS-CESMA).

I am member of several National and International Radiology Societies (CIRSE, ESR, SIRM, BSR); I have authored many articles in prestigious international journals and have presented my own scientific contributions to the most important European and American congress.

I aim to treat every patient with compassion, uncompromising care and freedom of choice while still offering the highest quality of minimally invasive treatments available.
